Information we collect and how we use it

We offer a number of services that do not require you to register for an account or provide any personal information to us. You can decline to submit personal information to any of our services, in which case Education Everlasting may not be able to provide those services to you. In order to provide our full range of services, we may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide

• When you sign up for an Education Everlasting / Grade King Account, you provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, address, gender, school and any other personal or preference information that you knowingly choose to disclose to us.
• When you use the Grade King Website to set up your personal profile, perform searches and transmit information through various channels, we collect this information so that we can provide you the service and offer personalized features.
• Profile information is used by Grade King primarily to be presented back to and edited by you when you access the service and to be presented to others who you have designated in your gradebook.
• We may combine the information you submit under your account with information from other Education Everlasting services or third parties, such as newspapers, blogs, instant messaging services and other users of the Education Everlasting service through the operation of the service in order to provide you with a better, more personalized experience, to improve the quality of our services and to supplement your profile.
• Grade King may send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service.
• Any improper collection or misuse of information provided on Grade King is a violation of the Grade King Terms of Service and should be reported.

Cookies

• When you visit Grade King, we send one or more cookies - a small file containing a string of characters - to your computer or other device that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service, including for storing user preferences, improving ad selection and tracking user trends.
• Grade King also uses cookies in its advertising services to help advertisers and publishers serve and manage ads across the web. Advertisements that appear on Grade King are sometimes delivered (or "served") directly to users by third party advertisers. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. These third party advertisers may also download cookies to your computer or use other technologies such as JavaScript and "web beacons" (also known as "1x1 gifs") to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. Log information

• When you access Grade King's services, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.

User communications

• When you send email or other communications to Grade King, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.

Links

• Grade King may present links in a format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have been followed. We use this information to improve the quality of our search technology, customized content and advertising.

Other sites

• This Privacy Policy applies to Education Everlasting services only. We do not exercise control over the sites displayed as search results or links from within our various services. These other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Website to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Education Everlasting only processes personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. In addition to the above, such purposes include:

• Providing our services, including the display of customized content and advertising;
• Auditing, research and analysis in order to maintain, protect and improve our services;
• Ensuring the technical functioning of our network;
• Protecting the rights or property of Education Everlasting or our users; and
• Developing new services.

Education Everlasting processes personal information on our servers in the United States of America. By using the Grade King Website, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States. We may process personal information to provide our own services. In some cases, we may process personal information on behalf of and according to the instructions of a third party, such as our advertising partners.

Information sharing

Education Everlasting only shares personal information with other companies or individuals outside of Education Everlasting in the following limited circumstances:

• We have your consent.

When you use the Grade King Website, the information you post, such as personal information, comments, messages or other items, is done at your own risk. We cannot control the actions of other users with whom you may choose to share your pages and information. Please keep in mind that if you disclose personal information in your profile or when posting comments, messages or other items, this information may become publicly available.

If Education Everlasting becomes involved in a merger, acquisition or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will ensure the confidentiality of any personal information involved in such transactions and provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information, such as the number of users who attend a specific school or how many users clicked on a particular advertisement. Such information does not identify you individually.

Information security

You post user content on the Website at your own risk. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other users with whom you may choose to share your pages and information. We restrict access to personal information to Education Everlasting employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Accessing and updating personal information

Access and control over most personal information on Grade King is readily available through the profile editing tools. Grade King users may modify or delete any of their profile information at any time by logging into their account. Information will be updated immediately. Individuals who wish to deactivate their Grade King account may do so on the My Account page. Removed information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will not be generally available to members of Grade King.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Regardless, we will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes).
